Anyone ever wonder what the real differences are between those smaller yachts and the bigger ones when you’re just planning a chill outing with like 8-10 friends in Dubai? Last weekend I tried booking something for my buddy’s birthday – we wanted to cruise around the marina, maybe stop for some swims, but I got confused looking at options. The compact ones seem cozier and easier to handle, but do they feel cramped? Or are the mid-size ones worth the extra for more deck space without going overboard? Genuinely curious what people recommend for small crews.

Sunsets from the water here hit different these days, especially with the cooler evenings rolling in. I’ve noticed more groups opting for those evening slots lately, lights reflecting off the buildings as you glide past the Palm. Makes even a simple cruise feel pretty special, no matter the boat size.

Picked a mid-range one last month for a family thing, around 55 feet, and it was perfect – plenty of room to lounge without feeling like we were rattling around in something huge. The smaller 40-ish footers are great if you want that intimate vibe, super easy to maneuver into quieter spots, and way cheaper per hour. But yeah, for 10 people with coolers and gear, the extra space on bigger ones makes it more relaxed. Checked out some best yacht companies yachts for rent and they have solid variety that fits different group sizes without breaking the bank. Ended up grilling snacks on deck while watching the skyline light up – total win.
