I just finished installing my new fishfinder on the boat, and the level of detail on the screen is absolutely incredible compared to my old unit. I took it out for a quick test run yesterday, and I could actually see individual fish hovering around the submerged timber. It’s a total game-changer for how I approach new lakes, but I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of what the settings can do. I’m curious if anyone has a “sweet spot” for the frequency settings when scanning in shallower, murky water versus deeper reservoirs. The interface is pretty intuitive, which I appreciate, but I want to make sure I’m not missing out on any cool overlay features. If you have a favorite palette or contrast setting that makes the bottom structure pop, I’d love to hear your recommendations.
